About Us

Mountain Helicopters Flight OfficeMountain Helicopters is a small private company offering value based fares. We fly from both Fox Glacier and Franz Josef.

Our emphasis is on personal service catering to the needs of small groups, familys and individuals.

Mountain Helicopters is owned and operated by Michael and Therese Glynn. Michael has been flying Helicopters since 1986 and commenced flying in the Glacier region since July 1989. Therese is a fourth generation local and has worked in the tourism and hospitality industry from the day she left school.

Michael is assisted by experienced alpine pilot Nathan Healy.

Therese is at Fox Glacier whilst William Mills heads the ground crew at Franz Josef.

Mountain Helicopters transports Hunters, Fisherman and Film Crews around South Westland and Canterbury.

We are also involved in agricutural and training operations.
