Our most popular scenic flight in 30 minutes, encompasses views of the two tallest peaks in the Southern Alps - Mt Cook & Mt Tasman, as well as soaring over the Fox or Franz Josef Glacier before landing in the snow (weather permitting). Have time to appreciate the breath-taking scenery from the alpine landing site and enjoy incredible photo opportunities. Plant your feet in the snow and take in the spectacular mountain views.

Cancellation Policy

Customers are requested to confirm their booking 24 hours prior to departure by calling the Mountain Helicopter office on 0800 369 423. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure, late arrivals forfeit their scheduled time and will be charged the full amount. All flights are weather permitting, departures routes are subject to change or cancellation due to adverse conditions. All flights are subject to minimum numbers for departure and bookings will be coordinated to accommodate this requirement. There is currently a maximum of 4 passengers on each of our flights. Should Mountain Helicopters cancel a flight due to weather conditions and are unable to re-schedule then a full refund will be issued via the payment method used for the original booking. Infants up to 3 years old may travel free of charge (weight dependent) when accompanied by a fare paying adult and must be seated on the adult’s knee. An infant seatbelt and ear muffs are provided. Children fares are for children between the ages of 4 and 12 years old inclusive and children must be accompanied by a fare paying adult. Mountain Helicopters reserve the right to request photo ID for proof of age of passengers. All fares are quoted in NZ Dollars and are inclusive of Goods Services Tax of 15%. All booking must provide a deposit or full credit card details to secure the booking. Payment will not be processed until just prior to the flight. Cancellations less than 24 hours prior to departure, late arrivals or no shows will be charged the full amount. Weight restrictions apply to each individual flight and aircraft, there is a maximum passenger weight limit of 120kg. Mountain Helicopters reserves the right to alter prices, departure times and flight routes.
