What do I need to wear?

We recommend you take closed in shoes, a light jacket or jersey and your camera. The temperature inside the aircraft and on the snow is usually similar to the temperature in town. If you have any other questions about what to wear, ask our friendly staff at check in time.

What do I need to bring?

Just yourself and your camera! We do not take luggage, back packs or handbags on the aircraft.

Where do we need to go?

Check in will be at our office and from there we will take you to our aircraft.

What happens if the weather is not suitable?

If your flight can not go ahead due to weather we will do our best to reschedule your flight for another time/day. If your flight is not able to be rescheduled then you will be fully refunded. 

What time do I need to check in?

Check in to our office 30 minutes prior to departure time. Please also contact us 24 hours prior, to confirm your flight and check the weather conditions.

Are there minimum numbers required for the flight?

Yes, we do need minimum numbers for all of our flights. This is dependent on our aircraft availability and will be either 3 or 4 full fares. However we will try to arrange your flight and our bookings to give you the best possible chance of flying!

Is there a minimum or maximum age limit?

We have no age limits for our flights! Infants will be seated on a lap (age and weight dependent) and be given and an extra seat belt and their own pair of earmuffs. If extra assistance is needed getting in and out of aircraft, we can provide this. 

Do you have child and infant prices? 

Yes, children aged 4 - 12yrs pay 70% of the adult fare. 

Infants aged 0 - 3yrs fly free of charge if they are able to travel on an adults lap - this is weight dependent, infants 15kg and above require their own seat and will be charged at the child rate of 70% of the adult fare.

Can I purchase a gift voucher?

Yes, we can arrange gift vouchers for any of our scenic flights. Bookings are required. You can contact us at glacierflights@xtra.co.nz or free phone 0800 369 423.

How many people are there in the aircraft?

We have 4 seater passenger helicopters.

Can I bring my camera?

Yes, both cameras and phones are recommend!

Do you accept credit card?

Yes, we accept Eftpos, Visa, Mastercard, Alipay & WeChat and you can pay in your own currency!
